Horus is the Egyptian god of the sky and pharoahs, as well as justice. The living pharoah is said to be the human avatar of Horus, while the dead pharoahs become part of Orsis, the god of life and death as well as the father of Horus
Horus's physical apperence appears quite varied, from being a handsome youth, to falcon made of stars with the moon as his right eye and the sun as his left and most strangely, a bird with the head of a lizard. He is often shown holding a knife, which he used to kill Seth the god of evil.
Horus carried an amulet of immense power, the Eye of Horus, made by his mother Isis (the goddess of magic) and his uncles Ra and Ptah. It could apperently protect him from the most powerful attacks from Ra, Ptah and Nekhbet(the vulture goddess) and also incresed his own powers by tenfold. The Eye was so powerful, even a drawing of it had protective properties.
